Design Tips and Advice

Use bold, clear text that’s easy to read from 6–10 feet away. Your advert needs to be readable at a glance, from across a room for example. Use large, bold fonts that are clear and easy to understand without straining the eyes.
 

Keep messaging clear and focused – ideally one key message per ad. Avoid cramming too many ideas into one ad. Focus on a single offer, event, or brand message to keep your content clear and memorable.

Include your logo, website, or QR code for branding and response. Always brand your advert with a recognisable logo and provide a way for viewers to take action. A web address or QR code makes it easy for people to connect with your business instantly.

 

Avoid overloading with too much information or small fine print. Less is more on screen. Stick to key points and avoid cramming in excessive text, terms and conditions, or unreadable small print that won’t be noticed or read.

 

For videos, keep motion smooth, calm, and not too flashy. Use subtle movement that supports your message rather than distracts from it. Avoid strobe effects, overly fast transitions, or content that might appear chaotic or overwhelming.

 

Supply Adverts in Portrait orientation. Our installed screens are vertically oriented, so landscape (wide) ads won’t fit properly. Always design in portrait mode (1080 × 1920 pixels) to ensure your ad displays correctly without cropping or distortion.

 

Use high resolution images. Blurry or pixelated images and graphics make your ad look unprofessional and hard to read. Always use high-quality images at the correct resolution to maintain sharpness and visual impact.
